NEWS RELEASE
JANUARY 10, 2005
Denver, Colorado January 10, 2005. Green Energy Corp. (GEYC.PK) announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with North American Bioenergy Resources, LLC (NABR), an affiliate of Zambrana Engineering, Inc. of St. Louis. Under the memorandum Green Energy will oversee the building a transportable BCT Gasifier in the 50-ton per day class for NABR RDIUP, LLC, a subsidiary of NABR. The BCT gasifiers will be integrated into rapidly deployable integrated utilities plant (RDIUP) systems that NABR RDIUP is developing for sale to the US Department of Defense (DOD).
Green Energy is licensed to use the patented BCT Gasifier. The BCT Gasifier has the proven capacity to convert carbon-based materials, including wastes targeted by the DOD such as plastic, wood, paper, sewer sludge and other bio-solids derived from waste water treatment. The gasification process converts the waste feed stock into synthesis gas (syngas), which is then used to generate electricity or further converted into ethanol or methanol. The gasification process emits no harmful off gasses and leaves only a small amount of benign ash for disposal.
The RDIUP system gathers and consumes waste generated in remote populated areas such as advanced military base camps, refugee camps and rural communities. The wastes are converted into syngas for the production of electricity, steam, hot water, space heating and cooling, and to recover, reclaim and reutilize base camp waste water. The proposed RDIUP system would utilize a 50-ton per day BCT Gasifier and would be capable of processing the waste created by 5,000 troops.
The DOD has a need for clean and easily accessible energy and for an environmentally responsible method of disposing the waste that base camps create. NABR's RDIUP system also enhances overseas base camp security by reducing the number of support vehicles entering the base.
Zambrana Engineering has 20 years experience with DOD contracting, and in 2004 was awarded the prestigious Nunn Perry award. Zambrana Engineering supports NABR's decision to select Green Energy's BCT Gasifier as its technology of choice for the RDIUP system. NABR RDIUP, LLC and Green Energy Corp. are confident that the system can meet the DOD's needs.
