A Energy Corporation, acting on behalf of a town in Connecticut, engaged Green Energy Corp to design a microgrid including the high school, city-owned ice arena, and a prominent large grocery / pharmacy to participate in the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Microgrid Program. This 1.5 MW microgrid includes multiple resources (natural gas engines, fuel cell, photovoltaics, and energy storage) and loads, actively managed by GEC’s™ GreenBus® Microgrid Solution to enable this microgrid to serve these connected campuses 24/7 including operations as a resiliency center in the face of major storms and their aftermath.
