GREEN ENERGY CORP INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN OBAMA’S
JOBS AND COMPETITIVENESS COUNCIL


DENVER, CO,
June 22, 2011 – Green Energy Corp, a software technology company that enables traditional and emerging power providers to move to the Smart Grid, today announced its participation in President Obama’s Jobs and Competitiveness Council.

Last week President Obama traveled to Raleigh-Durham, NC to meet with the Jobs and Competitiveness Council to discuss ways to strengthen the economy, accelerate job growth and increase America’s global competitiveness. Green Energy Corp was invited, along with other industry leaders, to join a special session titled “Energy Innovation and Smart Grid” to discuss practical ways that business and government can work together to create jobs. The event was held on NC State University Centennial Campus in part because of the NSF FREEDM Systems Center, a research center and university consortium dedicated to Smart Grid technology and distributed energy. Green Energy Corp is a founding member of the FREEDM Smart Grid center, and remains highly active today.

The President’s Jobs and Competitiveness Council, led by GE Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt, was designed to provide expert advice to the President on ways to accelerate the economy and ensure the competitiveness of the United States. The Jobs Council is made up of representatives of various sectors of the economy who offer different perspectives of the private sector, employers and workers on how the Government can best foster growth,  innovation, global competitiveness and job creation.

In attendance were North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary  Locke. Other participants in the session included:
