Green Energy Corp, a Colorado Companies To Watch 2011 Award Winner, is seeking an entry level Software Engineer to be part of our team. Green Energy Corp provides software engineering services to the utilities, communications and smart grid energy industries in an agile programming environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys continuous learning, customer interaction and teaming with software engineers to bridge the gap between customer business requirements and technical expertise to deliver solutions.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Software Engineer works in an agile team environment to design, develop, test and document software applications to deliver to our customers. This position balances design and implementation skills with meeting customer delivery requirements. The Software Engineer is expected to contribute to the technical direction with excellent teaming and communication skills with teammates and the customer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline
- 0-2 years Java, Flex, GWT, C, C++, or C# experience
- Familiarity with current agile development processes and OO design
- Experience working on teams or in an agile environment
- Ability to partner with customers using excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt, change and move in a new direction based on new customer requirements
- Excellent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and application domains
