SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Green Energy Corp, a Colorado Companies To Watch 2011 Award Winner, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be part of our team. Green Energy Corp provides software engineering services to the utilities, communications and smart grid energy industries in an agile programming environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys continuous learning, customer interaction and teaming with software engineers to bridge the gap between customer business requirements and technical expertise to deliver solutions.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Software Engineer provides technical leadership in an agile team environment to design, develop, test and document software applications to deliver to our customers. This position balances significant design and implementation skills with meeting customer delivery requirements. The Senior Software Engineer is expected to influence design and technical direction with excellent teaming and communication skills with teammates and the customer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5 years Java experience; Servlet container, application container, Flex, GWT, C, C++, C#, concurrency, and embedded systems experience are a plus
- Familiarity with current agile development processes, OO design, ORM strategies, and emerging UI technologies
- Experience working on teams in agile environments.
- Ability to partner with customers using excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and influence a team in a new direction
- Excellent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and application domains
